GILLS & CO WINE BAR, SHOP AND RESTAURANT, ECCLESALL ROAD
Founded in Autumn 2022, family owned Gills & Co was built out of a desire to bring a fantastic range of wines to Sheffield at reasonable prices, served with delicious food in a relaxed and friendly environment.
You can book on to one of our weekly wine tasting events, book a table to eat and drink in, or simply walk in and browse our selection of wines to take home.

The "Gills" Part
Andy has worked in and owned bars and restaurants in Sheffield, Leeds and London for over 22 years. His passion lies in finding the best products to share with others in a relaxed and unpretentious environment.
Andy's favourite tipple is Olifantsberg's Soul of the Mountain - a white South African Rousanne, Grenache Blanc and Chenin blend.
Andy Trudgill

Vic's expertise and background sit within marketing and operations, so naturally, she runs everything behind the scenes at G&C. You'll also occasionally see her front of house supporting the team during service.
Her favourite wine is Mottura's Negroamaro or Ontanon's Rioja Blanco - a lightly oaked and creamy Viura.

Lauren Skidmore
Lauren joined us as Sous Chef in November 2024, now working alongside Gaz to shape our exciting new chapter of food.
Lauren's favourite drink is a pint of Guinness, but we told her she wasn't allowed to list this as we're a wine bar, so instead she chose a Super Tuscan - San Polo's 2017, Podernovi Brunello di Montalcino.

Steve Whitworth
Steve works in Pat's team as a Service Supervisor and can often be found sharing his wealth of wine knowledge whilst delivering excellent service to our guests.
He passed his WSET Level 3 award in wines in the Summer of 2025 and listed both Simpson's Railway Hill Rose and Les Tessons Meursault 2018 as his favourite wines.


Rhea Harris
Rhea joined our team in October 2024, whilst in her final year at the University of Sheffield, studying for her International Business Management degree.
She joined us having already passed her WSET Level 2 award in wine, and is currently studying for her level 3.
Her favourite wine from our shelves at the minute has to be Morande's Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc from Chile.

Katie Cooper
Katie has worked with Andy for many years, joining our team here at Gills & Co back when we opened in 2022.
She has a wealth of experience working in hospitality, with her expertise expanding over both the spirits and wine sides of the industry.

Pat’s passion for providing the ultimate guest experience is at the heart of everything she does. She manages service and everything in between, ensuring things run super slick at all times.
Proudly utilising her WSET level 3 award in wines, you'll often see Pat hosting our wine tastings, sharing her love of wine and expertise in this space.
Precison Wine's Prototype Lodi Zinfandel is firmly at the top of Pat's 'favourite wines' list.
Pat Raszewska

Head Chef Gaz brings a wealth of experience and skill from working in kitchens across Sheffield and Derbyshire over the past 15 years.
Building on our sharing plates ethos, his new menus add an elevated twist we know you’ll love. Expect, beautifully plated dishes, dietaries front of mind and super tasty food which pairs perfectly with wine.
